The Arc of Central Kentucky is a chapter of The Arc of Kentucky and the Arc of the United States, serving Lexington and the surrounding area. You are invited to join us!Our vision is to provide a future for persons with Intellectual and/or developmental disabilities with the services and supports that promote respect, choice, friendship,  quality of life, and the opportunity to contribute to society.The Arc of Central Kentucky’s Mission Statement:  The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and /or developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.People First – The Arc believes that all people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities are defined by their strengths and inherent value, not by their disability.  

 

Equity – The Arc believes that people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities are entitled to the respect, dignity, equality, safety, and security accorded to other members of society and are equal before the law.

Community – The Arc believes that people with Intellectual and/or developmental disabilities belong In the community and have fundamental moral, civil, and constitutional rights to be fully included and actively participate in all aspects of society.
